For the first time in 17 seasons, the Red Wings are playing at home in game three of a first-round playoff series. With their win in game two, they have regained home ice in this series. This is a No. 5 seed but one that should not be taken lightly in the playoffs. At home this season they were 25-15, holding opponents to just 2.3 goals per game. Phoenix on the other hand was actually outscored on the road this year. Detroit knows about using momentum to their advantage. Over the past three seasons, the Wings are an incredible 24-4 at home after a 3+ goal win. I like Detroit at home here.
