The Dallas Stars lost Brad Richards in the offseason and he was an all-star at the head of the Stars’ attack. That loss will hurt as the season progresses. While the Coyotes have been in the postseason in each of the past two seasons, the Stars have not made an appearance since 2008, and nothing that happened in the offseason appears to change that. The Stars also have a new coach in Glen Gulutzan, and he recorded his first win in the opener when Dallas was surely fired up, but lost in their next outing. The Stars’ recent track record against the Pacific is 1-6 in their last seven, as well as their recent track record as a favorite of -110 to -150 shows them at 0-6. That doesn't suggest a big effort in this one. Phoenix has risen to the occasion in Dallas where they have won eight of the last 11 meetings, and also own a 4-1 mark in the last five. Phoenix gets the call.
