Arizona won the first meeting this season 4-3 in overtime on Nov. 30 and the Avalanche will look to avenge that loss after winning four of their past six games, including 6-4 over Ottawa on Thursday when Nathan MacKinnon had four goals and an assist and Alexandar Georgiev stopped 41 of 45 shots for the Avalanche. Georgiev is 16-8-1 with a 3.01 GAA and his probable counterpart will be Karel Vejmelka, who is 5-7-2 for the Coyotes, who suddenly have won four in a row following a four-game losing streak. However, all four wins came against below .500 teams. The Coyotes are 2-12 the past 14 meetings at Colorado and it has lost 40 of 51 road games.
