Anaheim is #12 in goals allowed and in penalty killing. The offense, though, continues to struggle, off a 4-1 loss at home to Winnipeg last night, dropping to #25 in goals scored, and #22 on the power play. The Ducks continue to be short-handed because of injuries, especially up front. Ryan Getzlaf, the leading point scorer last season, is out at another month, as is second-line center Ryan Kesler, winger Patrick Eaves is out indefinitely with an illness and forward Ondrej Kase (five goals his first 10 games) hasn't returned since sustaining an upper-body. They won't score much on a Los Angeles defense that is third in goals allowed, tops in penalty killing. But the Kings are in a slump with a struggling offense, scoring a total of 16 goals the last seven contests.
