The Detroit Redwings advanced in their quest to win back-to-back Stanley Cups by impressively sweeping Columbus. The Red Wings count at the end of the series was 18 goals for, and just seven against - that is an amazing 2.75 goals per game. So it is needless to say, it was a no-contest series. They quickly set aside the notion that this team that walked through the last 10 games of the regular season with a 3-7 mark was ready to be had. The Ducks have to be pleased with their 4-2 verdict over the Sharks, winning the series on the road at The Shark Tank which is never an easy task. It won't get any easier as the Ducks have met a chamber of horrors playing in Detroit where they are just an uninspiring 6-22-1 in the last 29 meetings there. That includes a 5-2 loss to the Wings in Detroit this season. This is the Redwings series to lose, and if you look at what they did in their series against Columbus and their track record against Anaheim here, I’m not going to think about going with them here. Detroit makes a loud statement in game one and I'll take them on the puckline here.
