Anaheim at Carolina

Anaheim looks to break out of a rough stretch and catches a break playing a weak Carolina team that is 2-4-2 at home. Anaheim has talent, as we saw in the begining of this month with four straight wins. The Ducks are 7-1 playing on two days rest, as well as 5-1 against the Eastern Conference. The Ducks recalled top prospect Nick Ritchie and center Michael Sgarbossa from the AHL on Saturday among a series of moves. The 19-year-old Ritchie, the 10th overall pick in the 2014 draft, has nine goals in 12 games in his first pro season with San Diego. Carolina has lost five of six, and is 21-44 against the Western Conference. The Hurricanes are 28th in goals scored, 27th on the power play, and 22nd in goals allowed, plus 5-17 playing on one day of rest.
