New Jersey won its second in a row 6-3 over Chicago on Saturday as the Devils stayed one point behind Carolina in the Metropolitan Division. Mackenzie Blackwood had 14 saves for the Devils, who are expected to have Vitek Vanecek in net tonight and he is 30-10-4 with a 2.47 goals-against average with three shutouts this season. Vanecek has allowed only 10 goals his past five starts, including a 2-1 victory over the Rangers on Thursday. New Jersey won the only meeting this season 4-2 on Feb. 19 and it has won 27 of 37 on the road and 23 of 32 versus the Western Conference. The Devils are 6-0 playing with no rest and they have won five straight on Sundays. Winnipeg snapped a two-game skid with a 6-2 win over Detroit on Friday, but the Jets are 3-10 playing with one day of rest and 1-6 after allowing two or fewer goals their previous game.
