The Flames are back home to face Tampa Bay, but they have lost four in a row to the Atlantic Division and five of six versus teams that allowed two or fewer goals their previous game. The Lightning have won five straight as favorites of -110 to -150 and they look to bounce back following a tough 2-1 loss to the red-hot Oilers on Tuesday night. Despite that loss the Lightning have averaged 4.2 goals their past 10 games. Andrei Vasilevskiy had 23 saves against the Oilers and he owns a 2.40 goals-against average with a .912 save percentage. Calgary won the only meeting this season 4-2 on Dec. 16 and the Flames come into this game winning five of its past six although they did lose 4-2 to Seattle on Monday. Calgary goalie Jacob Markstrom also looks to bounce back after allowing all four goals and he still is 21-16-2 with a 2.61 goals-against average this season. Tampa Bay defeated Montreal 4-3 in a shootout win on Saturday, but the Lightning have lost five of their past eight games. Tampa Bay has won six of the past eight meetings and the Lightning currently have won four of six after defeating Edmonton 7-4 on Thursday to even their record to 2-2 on this road trip. The Lightning put it away with five goals in the third period and Andrei Vasilevskiy had 53 saves in his best performance since returning from back surgery. Tampa Bay was outshot 57-24 and still got the victory. Calgary has hit the skids losing four in a row and six of seven and the past two went into overtime or a shootout against Vegas and Minnesota. The Flames are hoping that kind of offensive performance will continue after they had trouble scoring during the losing skid and Tampa Bay goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy has struggled some this season compared to his usual performance as he is 5-5-1 with a 3.10 goals-against average and .898 save percentage. The Lightning went overtime to defeat Dallas 5-4 on Tuesday and it was Brian Elliott in net for the Lightning in that game, but Vasilevskiy is confirmed for tonight.
