Buffalo Sabres vs Seattle Kraken

Seattle looks to snap a four-game slide as the Kraken have won five of six road games against teams with less than a .400 winning percentage at home. The Sabres have won only eight of 21 home games and lost their past five Saturday games overall. The Kraken comes off a 6-2 loss at Columbus, and Buffalo has lost four straight versus opponents that allowed at least five goals in their previous game. Seattle has won five of six meetings with the Sabres, who have lost eight of 10 against Western Conference teams and 15 of 20 overall. Joey Daccord is expected to start for Seattle, and he is 12-9-2 with a 2.59 goals-against average. Take the Kraken.

Buffalo has a winning road record. The defense keeps them competitive away from home ranked 12th in goals given up (2.96 per game) and seventh in shots on goal allowed. The Sabres are on an 8-5 run including four wins as underdogs. Buffalo is 17-10 on the road in non-conference action, as well as 27-16 revenging a home loss to an opponent. Seattle is a .500 team at home (14-14-6). The offense is 28th in goals scored (2.68 per game) and 25th in shooting percentage. Seattle has a hot goalie in Joey Daccord as he has won its past five starts following a 4-1 victory over Ottawa on Thursday when he stopped 32 of 33 shots. Daccord has allowed a total of only five goals in five games and he is expected in net tonight with a 10-5-8 record and 2.29 goals-against average and a .922 save percentage with two shutouts this season. Seattle has won all four meetings in its history against Buffalo and this is the first one in 2023-24. The Kraken are on a six-game win streak and appear to have finally hit their stride after struggling the first two months of the season. Buffalo has lost five of nine although the Sabres do come off two wins over Montreal and Pittsburgh. The Sabres have lost five of six playing with two days rest and they are 3-14 after allowing two or fewer goals their previous game. Take the Kraken - Max Play. 

Seattle is a serious playoff contender with a current five-game win streak and the Kraken are only six points behind Vegas, which is leading the Pacific Division. The Kraken defeated Montreal 4-0 on Monday as Vince Dunn and Eeli Tolvanen each had a goal and an assist, while Martin Jones stopped 21 shots. Seattle has allowed only eight goals during the streak and three of the five games went UNDER. Buffalo is also playing a back-to-back after being shut out 4-0 by Philadelphia last night. Seattle is 4-1 UNDER playing with no rest and 9-4 UNDER against teams with winning records. The first meeting this season went UNDER as Seattle won 5-1 in October. Philipp Grubauer is expected in net for Seattle and he hasn't allowed more than three goals in any of his last four starts. Take the UNDER.
