Atlanta Falcons vs New York Giants

Daniel Jones was decent for a change, completing 22 of 32 for 249 yards with a touchdown and no picks, but the Giants still couldn't pull it out as a costly offsides call gave Dustin Hopkins a second chance to win the game with a 43-yard field goal for Washington. Atlanta trailed 28-25 through three quarters, but then Tom Brady and Tampa Bay exploded for 20 points, spoiling Matt Ryan's good performance as he completed 35 of 46 for 300 yards, though he did throw 3 interceptions. Still, the Falcons showed they are capable offensively after looking terrible in Week 1 against Philadelphia. Atlanta has covered seven of nine versus teams with losing records, and the road team is 9-3 ATS the past 12 meetings. It has been quite awhile since Tom Coughlin had things going in New York. Hie is under fire after the Giants gave one away to the Cowboys in Dallas last week. The Giants had the game won, but let Dallas march down the field for a late score in a thrilling 27-26 Cowboys win. They must pick up the pieces and head to Atlanta where the Falcons have a lot of weapons, especially Matt Ryan to Julio Jones, as that tandem is becoming lethal. Jones hauled in nine catches in 11 targets for 141 yards and 2 TDs, while rookie RB Tevin Coleman went for 80 yards on 20 carries. The Giants once seemed to play their best against winning teams, but that was during their Super Bowl years, and this team looks to be a long distance from those at 1-6 ATS in their last seven vs. a winning team. Meanwhile, the Giants were manhandling the Washington Redskins in a Thursday night affair 45-14. That has dramatically changed the odds for this game, and the value is now on the dog. Eli Manning is off a pair of huge games, but that certainly has not been his norm as he has thrown 44 TDs the last two years, but has also tossed 42 INTs, and he has five already this season. Atlanta has the better offense here behind Matt Ryan, and this has been the ideal spot for the Falcons.
