Washington at Toronto

Toronto had a nightmare season in 2020-21 as it had to play in Tampa and finished 27-45, but then was able to draft forward Scottie Barnes from Florida State, a former ACC Freshman of the Year. Kyle Lowry was traded to Miami in exchange for Goran Dragic and Precious Achiuwa. The Raptors still have plenty of firepower with Fred VanVleet (19.6 ppg), Pascal Siakam (21.4) and Gary Trent, Jr. (16.2). Siakam, though, is out with a shoulder injury. Washington was again the worst defensive team in the league allowing 118.5 points and traded Russell Westbrook and now has a new coach in Wes Unseld, Jr. Bradley Beal was often a one-man show averaging 31.3 points and he is probable for this game with a minor knee injury. Toronto won two of the three meetings last season and lost the other in overtime. Take the Raptors.
