So much for playing their best during a playoffs race! The young Utah Jazz have flopped, and are on a 3-10 SU, 6-7 ATS run. They have been particularly bad on the road, losing by 13 at the Clippers, 29 at the Knicks and 23 at the Thunder. They come into this one on a two-game slide, losing a pair by 7 to the Knicks and Rockets - games they can't afford to lose with the season winding down. That's a problem with weak defense as Utah is in the middle of the pack in points allowed and ranks No. 23 at defending the three pointer. The Jazz is 8-17 ATS in their last 25 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. That weak perimeter defense will have trouble against San Antonio, No. 4 in three-point shooting, No. 4 in points scored and even No. 11 in points allowed. The Spurs are trying to hang on to the No. 1 seed, are 35-16-3 ATS in their last 54 home games, including 35-13-3 ATS at home against a team with a losing road record. The home team is 24-9-1 ATS in the last 34 meetings and the Jazz is 7-20-1 ATS in the last 28 meetings in San Antonio. Take the Spurs.
