The defending NBA Champs have some missing pieces to the offense that rode them to the title a year ago, but they have sure compensated by turning up the defense. The last 16 games the Mavericks have played the opponent scored in the 80s or less. The Jazz have been a lot more defensive as well with just one of their last 12 opponents reaching the 100-point mark without the benefit of overtime. They have also turned up the defense when playing as a dog with a more intense effort, playing their last five as a dog to the UNDER.
