The Sonics have played some close games on this the 5th and final game of their road trip. They have won 2 and lost 2, but covered the spread in all 4 of them (more on that coming). The Nets will be without Richard jefferson tonight, as he will likely sit out for the second straight game with an ankle sprain. The scoring has been picked up by Krystic (22), and Nachbar (15). The Sonics are coming off an OT thriller vs the Hawks, and the Nets the same vs the Wizards. A couple key ingredients for tonights game. The Nets have shot over 50% for the season, and the Sonics aren't a team that will stop a good shooting and passing team. Jason Kidd already recorded his second triple double of the season, and Marcus Williams has been very good spelling him for a few minutes. Ray Allen has not reached 20 points in the last 2 games in New Jersey, and have held the Sonics to 42, and 40 percent shooting in those games. The Nets have also covered 5 of the last 6 played in Jersey. There is a remarkable stat out there, and a few others that point strongly to the Nets in this game. Since 2003-04 (maybe longer), no team has covered 5 games in a row while on a 5 game road trip or longer! That covers 107 times teams have attempted, and have been unsuccessful. There have been 29 occurances where teams have had streaks of 4 straight wins, or 4 straight losses within these extended road trips, and they are 0-29 ATS since 03-04! it is most difficult to maintain a high level of play on the road for that duration, and the Nets are playing well. And usually when a key player such as Jefferson goes down, the teams focus is stronger, because they know they have to be. Nets in this one.

2 units on Brooklyn Nets -3 (-110) (risk 2 to return 3.82)
