San Antonio at Sacramento

San Antonio surprised everyone with a convincing 129-100 win at Golden State on opening night as an 8.5-point underdog. Kawhi Leonard scored a career-high 35 points and LaMarcus Aldridge added 26 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. The Spurs shot 48 percent from the field and made 12-of-24 three-point attempts. San Antonio obviously wants to make a statement early in the year as they play their first season without Tim Duncan in nearly two decades. Sacramento is playing a back-to-back after defeating Phoenix 113-94 last night.The Kings shot 51.2 percent and were led by DeMarcus Cousins with 24 points and Rudy Gay added 22. San Antonio has won the last six meetings and covered the number in five of them. Also, the Spurs are 9-2 ATS their last 11 games in Sacramento. The road team has also covered 16 of the last 21 meetings. The Kings should be improved this season but the Spurs still are the clearly superior team, especially with the addition of Pau Gasol.
