San Antonio at Phoenix

The San Antonio Spurs may be in for a longer season than they are used to. A lot of the talent that has propelled this team over two decades has now departed. Their 4-2 record is a bit distracting as they have a couple of overtime wins. The Spurs are living largely on reputation right now, and their four wins show none of them by more than five points as their margin for error has become razor thin. Phoenix opened the season with a big win but has been blown out in five straight games and will be without Devon Booker tonight. I still think the Suns are an improved team, and the line speaks of what the Spurs were not what they are now as they are -12 in scoring margin on the road. Take the points on Phoenix.
