It is no secret what the Spurs are doing in this series. Amongst other things, they are cutting off the scoring threat of Zach Randolph. The Spurs are fronting and doubling him whenever possible, and his frustrations are apparent. Randolph, a key reason why Memphis slipped past Oklahoma City, has found the going tough against a very good Spurs defense. He's shot 7-for-26 in the two games, for 8.5 points per game. The Spurs are a veteran team that plays well on the road and it begins and ends on the defensive end. If you look at what they did in their three games on the road vs Golden State - a very good shooting team, it is eye-opening. The Spurs held the Warriors to 86 ppg (regulation minutes), so they are more than capable of shutting down Memphis here on the road. The Grizzlies play great defense, but struggles often to find offense. In the playoffs, San Antonio has held opponents to just 43.5 points in the first half. Over their last five games, they've whittled that figure down to 43.5. Memphis has managed just 42.0 per game in the first half in their last five games. On the season, San Antonio is 58-34 to the first half UNDER including 10-2 UNDER as a road dog. Dating back to last season, they are 24-9 UNDER in the first half in division games. Take this one to go UNDER in the first half.
