San Antonio vs. Memphis

The San Antonio Spurs have regressed after two decades of dominance spearheaded by the defense. It appears the Spurs and it seems as though Coach Popovich is finally embracing the new NBA style of run and gun offense. The roster may not totally be ready for the change, as there are some older holdovers on the roster that are not fit for the change. Memphis may be a difficult opponent to try out a new philosophy, as the Grizzlies are youthful, long, and athletic, and that game seems to fit them better than the Spurs at this point. Expect some growing pains for the Spurs early in the season, and go with Memphis here.
