San Antonio at Houston

Despite a loss at Miami on Thursday, Houston appears to finally have gotten it together after a slow start to the season. The Rockets have won five of their last six games with a big factor being much improved defensively while getting better team chemistry on the offensive end. The Rockets destroyed San Antonio 136-105 on Nov. 30 after the Spurs won the first meeting a few weeks earlier. San Antonio also has played better of late and it comes off a 124-98 win over Minnesota last night as Bryn Forbes scored 22 points and the Spurs hit a season-high 19 3-pointers. That is unlikely to happen in this back-to-back situation against the Rockets, who have had one day of rest. Houston has won four of the last six meetings but they will play without Chris Paul, who is out with a hamstring injury. Go with the Rockets on the moneyline.
