The San Antonio Spurs have a long record of success in the Tim Duncan era, which extends into the playoffs. They are down 2-1 in their opening round series, off a tough buzzer beating three pointer in Game Three. The Spurs have allowed 108 points or more in two straight games, and that is the first time all season that has happened to them. This is an experienced team that knows they will have to come out aggressively and hungry on the defensive end of Game Four. The Spurs have allowed more than 100 points in consecutive games this season just 16 times. They have bowed their backs in their next game and allowed their opponents an average of 45.6 points per game in the first half in their next contest. This being the playoffs, I would expect an even greater resolve to defend early. I certainly can see Dallas struggling early and needing to match the Spurs defensive intensity. The problem for the Spurs is that they have managed just 96.7 per game in this series. The Spurs have gone 24-13 to the UNDER since last season after a game in which 215+ points were scored. And in the Popovich era, the Spurs are 62-40 UNDER after a close loss by three points or less. Make the plays on the full-game and first half UNDERs.
