San Antonio at Brooklyn

San Antonio is Top 10 in the NBA in points scored and has gotten leading-scorer Dejounte Murray back the last two games from covid protocols, scoring 49 points with 21 assists and 14 rebounds in the two games back. Two games ago when Murray returned, they won 99-97 at Boston as a +7.5 underdog. Brooklyn is in a difficult situational spot here, flying to Portland after this game to face the Blazers tomorrow. Brooklyn has lost four of five straight up despite being favorites of -5, -14, -6, and -4.5 The Nets have also lost five in a row at home and the talented, well-coached visiting offense is more than capable of a win. I had a very similar upset call on New Year's Day when the Clippers beat Brooklyn straight-up as a big dog. Popp knows how to rally the troops.
