San Antonio at Boston

We're about to the halfway mark of the NBA season and Boston continues to look like the team to beat. The Celtics are 31-9 but they have shown a tendency not to put forth a full effort when going against a bad team. Dating back to the 2021-22 season, the Celtics are just 10-25 ATS vs. teams like San Antonio that get out-rebounded by 3+ per game. And, over the last three seasons Boston is 11-23 ATS following back-to-back covers as chalk. The Celtics may take the opportunity to give three injured players the night off in White, Porzingas, and Holiday. Each of the three is questionable anyway. The Spurs are playing well and have covered six of their last seven games. San Antonio has also gone 5-1 ATS as a double-digit dog, which goes back to December 1. I like San Antonio in this one.
