Portland at Washington

The Washington Wizards were a horrible team for many years, but last season they got things turned around and made the playoffs. Expectations ran high for this year, and they did not disappoint. They came out of the gate at 31-15 and looked to establish themselves amongst the elite teams in the NBA, but then the bottom fell out. The Wizards went through a bruising 4-13 stretch, but they have recovered by winning three straight, but the poor 17 game stretch has them appearing to be less than they really are, which is 34-15 outside the 17 game slide. Portland is 44-20 overall, but has found the going tough on the road where they own a pedestrian 16-14 mark on the season, and just 6-10 in their last 16 on the road vs. a team that currently has a winning record.
