Portland at New Orleans

New Orleans has done a good job at home as they stand at 12-10, while Portland has been less than mediocre on the road at 8-14. There is a big difference how a losing team handles a winning team, vs. how they handle a losing team. New Orleans has played their best basketball at home vs. the better teams. Their last five against sub .500 teams at home looks like this: +4, -8, +3, -17, -7. Winning teams come in here and coast, the losing teams come in to play, feeling they can steal a rare road win. Portland plays perfectly into this scenario. They have gotten hammered by the good teams on the road, but have been great against the bad teams. Portland has not only covered the last five they have played on the road vs. sub .500 teams, they have won them all outright! They have won six of their last eight and one of the losses was in OT.
