Denver lost to the Trail Blazers in the regular-season finale on Sunday, but the Nuggets got a break when the Clippers lost to Oklahoma City. That gave the Nuggets the third seed in the West. Nikola Jokic played only the first half and scored 21 points, but he'll be back for the full game in Game 1 of this series. Jokic is having an MVP-like season, averaging 26.4 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 8.3 assists. Portland has gone UNDER four of its past six games, and the two previous meetings with the Nuggets this year had gone UNDER. Denver will miss Jamal Murray's scoring as he's out for the year, but it acquired Aaron Gordon from Orlando in March to help out in that situation. The Nuggets have clamped down defensively recently as they allowed an average of only 106.5 points in the eight games before Sunday, and both teams will have been off for five days.
