Philadelphia at Los Angeles

Is Los Angeles really laying points here? The Lakers are in a complete tailspin right now and I don't see them snapping out of it against a Sixers squad that is finally headed in the right direction. LA has lost seven straight games and are now 1-8-1 ATS over their last 10 overall. This is their longest skid since they dropped their last 10 in 1993-94. This is a road weary team having played eight of their last nine away from home. I don't expect home cooking to help them as they have dropped each of their last two home tilts. The Sixers appear to have gotten themselves back on track with back-to-back wins over Detroit and Toronto. They have been a solid road play all season, going 18-16 ATS away from home. This is the first of a tough three game west coast trip that will see them also face Sacramento and Phoenix. They will be eager to get off to a strong start and keep themselves in the playoff hunt. Philadelphia is 4-2 in the last six meetings in this series. I expect Iverson and company to come up with a huge effort here as they trip up the Lakers. Take Philadelphia plus the points for three stars.
