Oklahoma City at Memphis

Premium Pick

The Memphis Grizzlies have taken a 2-1 lead in their best-of-seven series vs. the Oklahoma City Thunder. They have won the last two, both in overtime, as they have played the Thunder tough. They have kept them from running, and getting out on the break. They need to continue making this a half-court game, and they have done a great job of that so far. The total has not moved much despite the fact that points have been at a premium for both of these teams. The total points have been exaggerated by the fact that 41 of them have occurred in overtime. The fact is that these teams have scored an average of 184 points in the three games. Once back in Memphis, the Grizzlies controlled the tempo, so the points were the fewest of any of the three games at just 170 prior to overtime. An eye-opener here is the fact that the first half has seen just 251 of the 595 total points scored in this series or just 42% of all points. The first half has seen an average of just 83.7 ppg scored, and I expect that to continue, especially with Memphis at home. Durant and Westbrook are scoring 60 ppg between them, but with Durant at 43.8% and Westbrook at 38.4%, it is taking a lot of shots to get there. This game should play out similarly to game three, with points hard to come by. Play the first half UNDER and the full game UNDER.
