This is a heavyweight matchup between a pair of teams in the West, that both feel like they are built to go the distance. THese two teams enter this game with the two best records in the Association. Oklahoma City saw their six-game winning streak come to a halt in Denver two nights ago. This is a team that should be at their best tonight, as they don't take too kindly to losing and always seem to bring their "A" game after losing their previous game. I don't hold that loss against them much as Denver was uber-motivated seeking revenge for an embarrassing loss to the Thunder a few nights earlier. The Thunder are a resounding 102-58-1 ATS following a loss in their last 161. The Clippers' season has been made by a 17-game winning streak, and not to take anything away from them, but they are 15-10 otherwise. They will have to come prepared to slow the Thunder down, as once this team gets going OKC is hard to keep up with. The Thunder of course have Kevin Durant but right now Russell Westbrook may be the most dangerous player on the floor. He's averaging 33.8 points per game over the last four. He's averaging career bests in assists (8.3), rebounds (5.3) and steals (2.0) as well. The Clippers have done a good job slowing things down against the better teams in the NBA as they have played 7-3 to the UNDER when facing a team at home with a winning road record. The Thunder haven't been able to get out and run vs. the better teams on the road either, as they are also 7-3 to the UNDER on the road vs. a team with a winning home record. OKC is 13-5 AS this season vs. winning teams and 17-6 ATS the past two seasons following an upset loss. Take Oklahoma City as my NBA Game of the Month, and also play the UNDER in this one.
