New York at Phoenix

The New York Knicks end a long road trip here on a 3-2 spread run. Two games ago they won at the Lakers, 101-94, as a +7 dog. They come off a bad loss at Golden State, but the Knicks are 4-1 ATS after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game. Phoenix is a big favorite, but not the same team since trading away two of its top three scorers. Since ranking third in the NBA with 107.5 points per game during a 26-18 start, Phoenix has averaged 99.2 over an 8-15 slide while plummeting to 10th place in the conference, three games back of a playoff spot. Brandon Knight was expected to provide some offensive punch, but hasn't and he's out this game (ankle). Phoenix has been particularly anemic of late, scoring 88.0 per game while dropping three of its last four. Phoenix is 2-5 ATS at home, and the Suns are 5-11 ATS playing on one days rest. When these teams meet the road team is 6-1-1 ATS and the underdog is 8-3-1 ATS. Play the New York Knicks. Also take the first-half UNDER. Over their last five games, the Suns have picked up their defense, allowing 96 per game (47.4 in the firs thalf). Their offense has fallen at a similar rate as the Suns have gotten just 92 points per game (46.6 in the first half) over that span. New York is 18-8 UNDER in the first-half this season off a road loss and 20-8 UNDER in the first-half after a double-digit loss. Take the points and the first-half UNDER.
