We are not sure what the oddsmakers are thinking here, but we sure want to jump in and exploit a weak line. You have to go back to Jan 16th, 1993 to find a NY Knicks game played in Houston that scored more than 196 points! The last 13 games played here have averaged 176 points per game. There have only been two that have even reached 190, and most in the 170s and below. To put this number in perspective, Phoenix came to Houston last November and the total was set at 188. The total pushed. Here is the real evidence in the value of this total. The last 4 years in 165 home games (including the one home game Houston has had this year), only 24 of them have managed to score 196 points or more. That is 14.5%! So we see a game at home in Novemeber vs Phoenix last year posted at 188, only 14.5% of 165 games reaching this total in this building, and a Knicks matchup that has not seen this number since 1993, and there is only one possible choice to make. Take the UNDER.
