The Detroit Pistons had hoped for a better start as they are just 3-5. Injuries have been the story as Blake Griffin has yet to play and Reggie Jackson is also on the shelf. Derrick Rose has joined them and will sit this one out as well. The Knicks are 1-6 and are not going to win a lot of games this season, but there is an opportunity here vs. a very handicapped opponent. The Knicks have lost to Boston on a buzzer-beater and to Brooklyn by just 4fouor points and has shown enough staying power to capitalize on all the Pistons' key injuries. Play on New York.
