New York at Boston

The New York Knicks had their way with Boston through the first three games of this series, winning easily in each. But, down three games to none, Boston did not lose their resolve and has fought back to make it a series again. Tonight they look to even things up at three games apiece tonight. The one constant for both teams has been defense. While the oddsmakers have adjusted the total from the opener at 189.5 down a full 8+ points, it still is not enough. There have been five games played in this series, and neither team has topped the 92-point mark without the benefit of overtime in the entire series. If you take the best offensive games from each team, the total points would be 182, going over the total by a single point. If you take the worst scoring output by each, the total points would be 161. Clearly this series has played out defensive, and with things getting interesting, I only see the defenses getting tougher. The Knicks are 5-0 to the UNDER after a loss, and Boston is 7-1 to the UNDER vs. a winning team in their last eight, and these teams are 7-1 to the UNDER in their last eight meetings, the only over occurring in overtime.
