New Orleans at Washington

After several poor seasons, the Washington Wizards have turned the corner. They got to the second round of the playoffs a year ago, losing to Indiana in six games. They are off to a 9-5 start, and they appear to be taking a step forward. New Orleans made a nice 4-1 run during the early going, but other than that this team has been 3-6. While they may have taken a step forward themselves, they are not yet up to the level of Washington at this point. Both teams have dropped two straight, and I think the mental mind set and psyche for the Wizards is in a better place to find a quick focus and remedy, while the Pelicans are more apt to start feeling the loss of confidence as they are not a good team at this stage. The Pelicans are just 10-21-2 ATS in their last 32 vs. a team over .600, and more significantly, they own just a woeful 5-28 straight-up record in those games, winning just 15% of the time.
