The New Jersey Nets won't get respect from the oddsmakers this season, but this certainly has been a team on the improve. The Nets have won three of their last five games. Hidden beneath the carnage of all the losses is a very competitive mark at home vs. teams with a losing record. They were beaten by 16 points vs. Indiana at home, but since just before Christmas, they have not lost at home to a team with a losing record by more than 4 points, and have now won their last two. The Hornets have been dreadful down the stretch at just 5-16, covering just four of their last 17, and are just 17-35 ATS in their last 52 as a favorite, and 6-16 ATS vs. teams with a winning percentage under .400. I'll go with New Jersey here.
