The Nets finally pulled themselves out of a horrendous slump and have won two in a row. The past two games is the most points they have scored in back-to-back games this season, and they are on the up-swing. Vince Carter is back and he played 34 comfortable minutes vs. Seattle, scoring 15 points. The Nets have thrived as a dog from 5-10.5 as they have gone 13-6-1 ATS in their last 20. They are also 10-2 ATS facing an opponent that allowed 100+ in their last game. The Lakers have now dropped two straight after four straight wins and are on a down cycle. The Lake Show has not been good in this spot, as they are 5-15-1 ATS in their last 21 as a home favorite. This line is more in tuned to the slumping Nets, as opposed to how they are playing now. Seventeen of the last twenty-four games between these teams have gone UNDER in the first half including nine of twelve the past three seasons and both over that span played here in LA. New Jersey is scoring 41.8 ppg in the first half while holding opponents to 42.2. The Lakers play much better defense at home as they allow opponents 4 first half points per game less than they do on the road. Since last season, the Nets are 26-12 UNDER in the first half as a road underdog and they are 10-2 UNDER this November already. The Lakers are 60-36 UNDER in the first half vs. slow-down teams averaging 76 or fewer shots per game. We like New Jersey and the first-half UNDER here.
