Minnesota at New Orleans

Minnesota has fallen off from the playoff team of a few years ago, but they have shown some signs of life lately. Most of their problems stem from the offensive end of the floor. This is the NBA and there are a lot of fluxuations during the course of an NBA season, and for the moment this looks like a good time to be on the T-wolves. They managed to score 96+ just once in their first five games, but have hit or topped the 96 mark in 4 of their last 5. New Orleans has come a long way from the awful teams of the recent past, and have gotten off to a good start. This game fits into a nice little post Holiday system we have, which says to fade the home team in this particular spot (home teams fat, happy and lazy). History is also on our side, as these teams always play close games when New Orleans is at home. Minnesota has had success here, winning 5 of last 8 straight up. Also the last 8 times these teams have met with New Orleans as the home team, the greatest margin of victory for either team has been 6. The last 8 have looked like this: Minn has won by 3,5,5,5, and 6 and New Orleans by 4,4,and 5. All games decided by 3-6 points. Since we feel this is a good spot for Minn, and they haven't lost here by more than 5 in several years, and our system all come together we will ride the Wolves in this one.
