Minnesota at Golden State

The Minnesota Timberwolves were expected to be a contender a year ago, but injuries seemed to allow for an excuse. The expectations were equally high this season, but the results have failed to live up to them. Last night they could not get it done in Sacramento, so it would be easy to go against them here. Despite 47 by Stephen Curry, the Warriors lost in Portland yesterday. Minnesota, at 40-40, will desperately be trying to turn one corner and finish with a winning record, so look for a strong effort tonight. Golden State has already clinched, and playing on consecutive nights should mean a lot of bench minutes here, enough to carry Minnesota inside the number. Play on Minnesota.
