Minnesota at Golden State

Young Minnesota is eliminated from playoff contention, but showed it still is playing hard for outstanding first-year coach Tom Thibodeau by edging playoff contender Portland 110-109 on Monday. Center Karl-Anthony Towns had 34 points and 12 rebounds, while point guard Ricky Rubio had 16 assists, giving him four consecutive double-doubles. They are a huge dog but the Timberwolves are 18-7 ATS against winning teams, 10-4 ATS against the Pacific Division. Golden State has a nice lead for the top seed on San Antonio, so there is little urgency. They are still without All-Star forward Kevin Durant, who could be back in the lineup this weekend. The Warriors are 3-7 ATS against losing teams and the Timberwolves posted a 103-102 victory over Golden State three weeks ago as a +5.5 dog, covering five in a row against the mighty Warriors.
