Minnesota at Detroit

Minnesota continues to have the best record in the Western Conference although it has slipped a little splitting its past eight games. The Timberwolves did win their past two against Portland and the Los Angeles Clippers and they are 4-0 ATS their past four games. Anthony Edwards scored 33 points against the Clippers and Rudy Gobert hit four free throws in the final minute to seal the win on Sunday. The Timberwolves have covered seven of nine as road favorites as they head to Detroit to face the woeful Pistons, who are 4-36 on the season and in danger of setting a new record for fewest wins. The Pistons did get a 129-117 win over lowly Washington on Monday while shooting a totally uncharacteristic 56 percent. However, Detroit is 2-11 ATS following a straight-up win and 3-8 ATS its past 11 games against teams with winning records. The Pistons are very unlikely to shoot that well two consecutive games.
