Minnesota at Detroit

The Minnesota Timberwolves had been projected as a fringe playoff team the past two years, but it never materialized, so they cashed in a big chip and unloaded Kevin Love to Cleveland in an attempt to reshape the team. They have paid the price as they are just 10-40 on the season, tied with the Knicks for fewest wins in the NBA. Bad teams over a long season go through good stretches, and Minnesota is in one now having won two straight games for the first time since last April. There is certainly evidence that they are both improved and under-valued as they started the season at 4-14 ATS as a dog of 5.5 or more, but have since been 11-6 ATS to the same. Detroit is a bad team that has already had a big stretch going 11-2, as they are otherwise just 9-29. This game fits a very strong situation as well which is 72-26 ATS (1-0 this year).
