Miami at Utah

Many view this Miami team as one that may be a notch below from what they have been the past two seasons. That gets called into question when you consider that this team is 35-13 on the season, and a year ago they were 31-14 through 45 games. The Heat did lose three straight vs. New York, Brooklyn and Washington back in early January. But that seemed to wake this team up. Since then they have gone 8-2 averaging 108.2 points per game on 50.4% shooting. Utah has struggled all season, and have won less than a third of their games. The Jazz trail only Philadelphia in games lost by 10 points or more with 25 already on the season with 10 of those losses have come at home. On their current four game losing streak, the Jazz are getting averaging just 84.3 points per game and are losing by an average of over 14 points per game. That puts the number in this one well within reach for the Heat. The Heat have dominated the Jazz as they are 13-4 ATS in the last 17 meetings. Miami is 20-8 ATS dating back to last season when facing teams that give up 99+ points per game. They are also 14-3 ATS over that span as a road favorite in this range (6.5 to 9.5 points). Meanwhile, Utah is 15-30 ATS the past two seasons revenging a road loss. And, under head coach Tyrone Corbin, the Jazz are 15-28 ATS when facing the league's elite (teams at .750+). Lay the points with Miami as my February Game of the Month.
