The long awaited NBA Finals are upon us. The Oklahoma City Thunder looked lost after falling behind 2-0 to San Antonio came rallying back to take the next four, and are the rested team here. Miami looked to be headed for a similar fate, falling back to Boston 3-2 but rallied back behind two strong performances by LeBron James. This game features potentially five future Hall of Famers, and should be an exciting series. Right now Oklahoma looks to be the more complete team, and certainly the most rested team. They are also playing at home - all things that have led the last nine NBA Finals Game 1s to the home favorite at 8-1 ATS. At times, Miami had trouble defending Boston, but did a much better job when they got their inside presence back in Chris Bosh, who is healthy for this game. The NBA Finals have a history of being played at a slower pace, and with so much star power on the floor it will be the mantra of both of these squads to get after it early on the defensive end of the floor. That along with the usual jitters for Game 1 should ensure this one gets off to a slow start on the offensive end, while the teams feel each other out. The Thunder are 8-0 at home this year in the playoffs, and home teams have done extremely well in Game 1. Play Oklahoma City on the moneyline, and the first half UNDER.
