The New Jersey Nets lost a heart-breaking 108-105 double OT game Thursday but did manage to send backers to the cash window as four point underdogs. Although the Nets cashed in, it was the first over the eight game span. So, with their backs to the wall can the Nets avoid the sweep and at least have a shot at accomplishing what no other NBA team has ever done (overcome a 3-0 deficit)? It doesn't look good. Shaq is getting stronger by the game and Nets 39.5% FG shooting won't cut it against Heats 50.4% FG and 48% from 3-PT range. The Heat pushed to the limit last season in round-one won't be pushed here as they have boosted the offensive output by 25 per/game averaging 109.3. Miami is 13-3-1 against-the-spread their last seventeen. The Nets are a disappointing 1-13 against-the-spread their last fourteen playoff losses head home. Pull out the broom. We'll back the Heat against the overmatched Nets for three stars.
