Miami at Charlotte

It is hard to know what to make of the NBA East. Going into play today, just 3 of 15 teams are over .500. The Miami Heat and the Charlotte Hornets are two of those 12 teams, as they meet in Charlotte tonight. Taking a look at these teams, Miami is supposed to be better than their record and Charlotte looks better than what their record is supposed to say. The stats, shooting and free throw numbers look all about the same. The one area where Charlotte appears to have the edge is off the glass. Lots of NBA games are won and lost off the glass. Charlotte is +3 while Miami is -3 off the glass for the season. Getting points at home and favored off the glass, has me on Charlotte.
