Miami just hasn't been able to get anything going this season. They barely snuck past the three-win T-Wolves at home their last time out. Their 7-17 start is due in part to injuries, and an aging star. Shaq is just a fraction of what he once was averaging just 14 points and 7 rebounds per game. The Heat are being outshot, out-scored, and just don't look like the contender they were supposed to be. The odds-makers are saying a 4-9 Heat road team is about equal to an 8-6 Hawks home team with this line, and we disagree. The Hawks are playing their best basketball of the year right now, winning two straight and five of their last seven. The Hawks may not be up to competing on a night-in-night-out basis vs. the elite teams, but only one team all season has broken through on their court with a losing record, and it took OT to make that happen. We see the value on the Hawks in this one, and will ride them.
