Memphis at Miami

The Miami Heat really had it rolling as they went through a 13-game stretch at 12-1, but have since become a much more pedestrian 11-7. That stretch included a streak of 8-of-9 games posting 100+ points, but the offense has lost its zip, and over the last 11 games they have failed to hit the century mark in nine of them. For the last two years Memphis has been greater than the sum of their parts, which injuries have played a role, but are an under-the-radar team for sure. The Grizzlies are 20-7 in their last 27 games, while playing to a 19-10 UNDER mark over their last 29. They certainly should be able to contain a struggling Miami offense to stay close here. While the Heat’s struggles continue on offense, there has been just one team in their last 24 home games that scored more than 100 points against them, so expect a defensive battle here tonight.
