The Lakers are showing no hangover after capturing the NBA Title last year over the Celtics. The Lake Show has opened at 3-0, and is looking like they want a leg up on the competition. They realize that once Miami gets some time on the floor together, they are likely to put quite a few in the win column. A healthy Pau Gasol is averaging more than Kobe at 25.3 points per game and 10 boards to go with it. That makes the Lakers even tougher to defend. Lamar Odom has played like a man possessed early, contributing 16 ppg and 14 rebounds. If the Lakers continue to get production like that inside, they are going to be a tough out every night. Memphis is a team on the rise with emerging young stars in O.J. Mayo and Rudy Gay. They are young, so they haven't matured enough to win games when they aren't the better team as they are just 2-8 ATS in their last 10 as a dog. The Lakers win at home tonight.
