Game one in this series resulted in 84 first-half points. Game two resulted in 93. The first-half totals in the series have been trying to catch-up to the reality but they are slow. Game one had a line of 98.5. Game two was 97.5. Now we see another 1-point drop to 96.5. It's not enough. We like this game to also come in UNDER the total. Over the past three seasons, these teams have gone UNDER in the first half 10 out of 12 times (including 3 of 4 here in San Antonio). The Lakers have stepped up their defense of late, shaving 4 points per game off their season average. The Spurs have played great defense all season long. And, at home, it really kicks into high gear. At home this season, they allowed 89 ppg (44.9 in the first-half). We like the defensive intensity to pick up even more here in pivotal game three for the Spurs, especially early early in the game with the crowd at it's roudiest.
