Los Angeles at Portland

The Los Angeles Lakers have fallen from grace, and to put it in perspective, they have played more times as a double-digit dog this season than all of their previous seasons combined back to at least 1995. That being said, they have also become a good bet as a big dog. As the odds rise, so do the ATS wins for this team, now 6-2 ATS in their last eight taking nine or more points. Portland has been strong all season, but have to be concerned about the lack of defense as they are amongst the worst teams in the NBA on that end of the court. That always allows a team to hang around and slide in under the number, something the Lakers have shown to be proficient at despite the lack of wins. Portland is playing to higher numbers at home, and at the same time not quite on the same level as they were earlier in the season, leading to a 2-6 ATS mark in their last eight at home.
