Los Angeles at New York

Los Angeles will be in a bad mood after losing at Boston on Monday and allowing the Celtics to shoot nearly 56 percent in a poor defensive performance by the Lakers. New York had a rare victory the same night as it beat Cleveland 106-86, but it was only the second win in 10 games for the Knicks, who lost by 30 points in the last meeting with the Lakers on Jan. 7.  The Lakers are 9-4-1 ATS their last 14 games versus teams with losing records and they have covered four of their last five road contests. New York is just 11-24 ATS when following an ATS win and just 6-20 ATS its last 26 home games against teams that have winning road records. Look for a good defensive effort by Los Angeles, so play the Lakers.
